Dick

dick_booker.gifRichard M. Booker (Dick) started working part time for Morrissett Funeral Home in 1969. He acquired his license in 1973 for both the Funeral Director and the Embalmer. He and Larry purchased the company in 1997. Richard is a graduate of John Tyler Community College Funeral Services Program. Richard is a lifetime member of Branch’s Baptist Church and a member of the Broad Rock Ruritan. Richard and his wife, Linda resides in Chesterfield with their dog, Doolittle.



Larry

larry_spiaggi.gifLaurence F. Spiaggi (Larry) started working in the funeral business at 16 years of age in a small funeral home in his hometown of Portsmouth, VA. Larry and Booker purchased Morrissett funeral home. Larry has been active with the Knights of Morrissett Funeral Home since the summer of 1979. After graduating from John Tyler’s Funeral Program and a brief return to Portsmouth, Larry came back to Richmond and has been employed by Morrissett ever since. Larry and his wife Sue Ellen Danielson live in the Matoaca district of Chesterfield County where they share their house (Labrador Acres) with their three babies, Jessie, Roxy and Chance.

Scott

scott_makins.gifScott Makins served his apprenticeship at Morrissett Funeral Home. He started with the company in 1999. Scott is very eager to assist families with any concerns or questions that seem to arise from time to time. Scott graduated from John Tyler Community College Funeral Services Program in 2003. Scott and his wife, Stacy, reside in Chesterfield with their two children. Scott and his family are members and attend Clover Hill Baptist Church. Scott is a Mid Westerner transplanted by the U.S. Army after eight years of service, a life member of the VFW Post # 7819, a member of NFDA, Central District Funeral Directors.






Bill

bill_lane.gifBill Lane joined Morrissett Funeral Home as a part time assistant in 1997. He is continuing to lend his kind hearted hands to the families we serve. Mr. Lane tried to start his career as a Funeral Director but, soon changed gears and started into Photography. He is a Richmond Times Dispatch Retiree, who loves to freelance. Bill and his wife, Pat resides in Chesterfield.






Barney

barney_robbins.gifH. E. “Barney” Robbins started with Morrissett Funeral Home in March, 2000. Barney is a North Carolina native, who moved to Virginia in 1968. He and his wife, Lucille, attend Webber Baptist Church where he serves as an usher and teller. She has been a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years at Webber. Barney has worked as a deputy sheriff for Chesterfield County and is a retired Chesterfield County Magistrate. He even tried his hand as a Bail Bondsman. Barney is a member of the Masonic Order(Chester 94), Shriner, ACCA Temple, Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club(VirginiaIII), and the Fraternal Order of Police Associate Lodge #47 (Chesterfield). Barney enjoys Deep Sea Fishing, Riding his motorcycle, traveling overseas, gardening, woodworking, and reading.

Dave

dave_hunt.gifDavid Hunt started with the company in 2000. He is always eager to assist the families with any concerns they might have. David is a Reynolds Metals Company Retiree. David and his wife, Marie live in Chesterfield. They have two children who also live close by.









Buster

buster_green.gifO. E. "Buster" Greene joined the Morrissett team in 2002. Buster resides in the Winterpock area of Chesterfield with his wife, Mary Anna. He is a deacon and the Financial Chairman of the Epiphany Baptist Church. Retired from the Chesterfield Police Department. He is also a life member of Manchester Volunteer Rescue Squad, Virginia Association Volunteer Rescue Squads. Buster is a charter member of the Masonic Lodge # 253 and a member of Chesterfield Chapter # 139 O.E.S. He is also a member of the F.O.P. Lodge #47. Buster is also an inductee into the Chesterfield Volunteer Hall of Fame, and the Rescue Hall of Fame.






Doug

doug_corrada.gifDoug Corrada – A Retired firefighter with Chesterfield County Fire Department, Doug has been with our Funeral Home since the fall of 1997 when Larry and Dick became the owners. He is a native of Chesterfield, He and his brothers were well known athletes at Meadowbrook High School and he continues to many athletics ventures to this day. He is an avid motorcycle rider and enjoys the Sun and hot weather. Doug is responsible for the immaculate landscaping and maintenance of our building and grounds.
